Best Holiday Cocktail Dresses
During the holidays I always tend to go a little dressier, because its that time of the year and if I have an excuse to get dressed up, I’m going all out. I know some people don’t love getting dressed up, but being a stay at home mom, I miss the days to get fancy. Having a special night with your significant other or girl friends is important and you want to feel special in how you look. If you are looking for a way to be a little bolder than you normally would, break out the red lipstick.
Short Holiday Cocktail Dresses

A little black dress is the perfect dress to have in your closet. I love this classic and flirty one. It has just the right amount of flare but with a fitted bodice. As you can see by the drink in my hand, I’m enjoying this night very much.

This dress was such a show stopper. Nothing says party dress like a metallic short one and I’m in love with the ruffles at the bottom. I styled it with my Jimmy Choo cage booties and they are one of my most complimented shoe to date.

Long Holiday Cocktail Dresses

This season, I’m loving the chocolate brown slip dress by Nicholas and this dress is amazing!!! You can easily style it with a sweater over it as well. The brown slip dress and sweater are currently sold out, see this outfit in black instead. (Slip dress + Sweater)

Obviously, as you can tell I have an obsession with all things silver. I think the reason is it’s such a show stopper but not as bold as gold.
This one is a two piece and it every detail is accounted for. The cowl neck camisole is one you could style under a leather jacket and style with jeans. This particular skirt has the most perfect high slit and I love the idea of styling its with a chunky knit as well.

I kept the whole look tonal and styled it with simple jewelry and my gray suede pumps. I love all things monochromatic, I’m so simplified and chic at the same time.

One of my favorite dress brands that look very luxe, but don’t have the price tag attached is this one above. I pulled my hair back into a low pony and styled it with a black open toes heel. Shop all their styles below.

Another options for a cocktail outfit is a great holiday short and top or a jumpsuit. I often go this route for something different.

Shoes
Sometimes, it can be hard to find the perfect shoe to complete the look, here are a few that will compliment your holiday party dress! You can go classic or make a statement with your shoe, and all of these are black tie approved.
Again, just make sure there is a balance in your selection. You don’t want to overpower the look. Sometimes, I base my looks on the mood I want to portray, like I’m playing a part. If I want old Hollywood, I do a deep part on my hair with a statement pearl earring peaking through only on one side. It seems to create a little mystery and I love it.
