Happy November! Fall and winter, here we come. Weather is changing fast and today on the blog, I’m sharing my 7 essential women’s jackets and coats you need for fall. I’ve really been focusing on layering pieces and I’m excited to share my favorites with you!
This year I’ve really focused on adding to my completer pieces such as jackets, coats, and blazers that can change your look from classic to edgy! Mango has been among my favorite places to shop jackets and coats. They run sales usually and I got most of these 30% off making them under $200!
7 Essential Jackets and Coats You Need for Fall
1. Camel Coat
A camel coat is such a classic piece to have in your closet and ideal for fall weather. This look is perfect for a dinner party or a chic and classic 9 to 5 look. What I love most about this particular coat is the length. It’s perfect for styling short or long dresses and also pairs perfectly with pants or a skirt. Not to mention the color is made for the fall season and will make completing your fall outfits much easier.

2. A Coatigan
Coatigans are a huge trend and they are so easy to style many ways. I love how they tie around the waist allowing you to further accent your look by better defining your figure. As far as choosing a fall jacket based on warmth, this is at the top of my list. This coatigan not only offers protection from the cold, but also from those harsher fall winds. Another popular trend is the shacket which is on my list to style for you!

3. Suede Jacket
I love a suede jacket. Especially this one because it provides such an edgy look. It is so versatile and can be worn with over dresses or styled with jeans and boots. This camel color is the perfect statement for fall as well. What I also like about a good suede jacket is that it is a lightweight jacket, ideal for fall days that are not too hot or too cold.

4. Leather Jacket
I love a good fitting faux leather jacket! It can really elevate a fall outfit and can even extend into the winter season as well. Like I mentioned earlier I’ve really been focusing on completer pieces that bring an edge to the outfit. There’s nothing that brings edge to an outfit quite like a leather jacket. This one I got during the Nordstrom Anniversary and has been a fall favorite. I just ordered this one in the classic black version and I am so excited to have both colors.

A blazer is a year round piece but I especially love styling them for fall. This is a tweed version that is a little more season appropriate and provides a bit more warmth than the normal blazer. Whether you’re looking for the perfect fall outfit for the office or the perfect streetwear look, this blazer is very versatile. If your looking for classics are under $100 these are my picks that are the perfect styling options for work or date night.

6. Wool Coat
I love this cream double breasted wool coat. From the belt to the accent buttons on the front and the sleeves, there is nothing I don’t like about this coat. Not to mention its warm and very fall fashion appropriate. The material combined with the length ensures that you won’t be caught off guard by seasonal winds. I’ve styled it here with jeans and a python boot, but it will pair perfectly with winter whites as well.

7. Trench Coat
A trench is one my favorite classics to wear all year round. No matter the season this type of coat never goes out of style. This color again is more fall appropriate but also very budget friendly from Target. I love that a classic trench can be styled casually with sneakers or dressed up with boots. Another benefit of a good trench coat is that it almost doubles as a jain jacket and provides protection from the fall elements.
