How to Wear White in Winter
Tips for Wearing Winter White in a Chic and Timeless Way

1. Mix Textures for Depth
Wearing head to toe white can feel flat without the right textures. Mix soft knits, structured tailoring, wool coats, and tweed pieces to add dimension and keep your white ensemble interesting. For example, pair a chunky white sweater with sleek white trousers or layer a tweed lady jacket over a silk blouse for contrast.
2. Layer Thoughtfully
Winter whites shine when layered properly. A white suit looks even more polished with a tailored coat draped over the shoulders, while a white sweater dress becomes effortlessly chic when paired with a long wool coat. Opt for lightweight base layers in silk or cashmere to stay warm while keeping the look sleek.
3. Play with Shades of White
You don’t have to stick to just one shade mixing different tones like ivory, cream, and pure white adds depth and keeps the outfit from looking too stark. A cream sweater with bright white trousers and an off white coat creates a soft, cohesive look that feels so intentional and polished.
4. Keep Accessories Minimal and Elegant
Let the winter white outfit be the statement by opting for neutral or metallic accessories. For example, a structured white bag, white boots, and delicate gold jewelry elevate the look without overpowering it. Also, if you prefer a pop of contrast, consider a chic tan or black belt to define your waist and add a subtle break to an all white outfit.
5. Choose the Right Footwear
White boots, pointed toe heels, or sleek sneakers all work beautifully with winter whites. Also, if you’re styling a white suit or a dressier ensemble, go for white or nude heels to maintain a seamless look. For casual outfits, white ankle boots or knee-high boots add sophistication while keeping things practical for winter.

Opt for a Monochrome Blazer Look
A monochrome white ensemble is effortlessly chic, and a white suit or blazer look is the perfect way to achieve it. For example, pair white trousers or jeans with a tailored blazer and a soft knit sweater for a polished yet cozy feel. Then, finish with white boots and a matching bag for a sleek tonal effect. Mixing textures like wool and cashmere adds depth also, making this look perfect for work or an elevated winter outfit. Overall, winter whites are timeless, sophisticated, and modern and have never looked better!

Whether you’re going for a monochrome white ensemble or mixing in soft neutrals, this outfit is effortlessly refined and perfect for a classy winter look.

Style it with Neutral colors

I tend to wear winter whites with neutrals. You can never go wrong with this pairing. If picking neutrals I go lead towards grays, camels, tans, blacks. I always stick to neutrals because they so interchangeable in the ways you can wear them whether on top or bottom. For example, pair white jeans with a neutral cream coat and chic heels for a classy street style look. The mix and match ways are endless.
Combine different shades of white

One of my favorite pairings is different shades of white. Nothing says more classy and sophisticated than a head to toe monochromatic look. And in winter dressing it makes it more special to me. I added a dressier gold earring here but you can easily look just as chic with your delicate jewelry. One of the main reasons I love a slip skirt because it’s so versatile to style year round. In the summer months, I add a crop tee to the same look. In Spring, I layer a denim jacket over it!
Here I styled it with camel, but another tip is to pair it with any neutral such as black or grey or a even pop of red for the holidays or Valentine’s Day.
Pair it with Black

Styling black and white is only sleek combination especially for work to a night out. Opt for a white turtleneck. And if you want to keep it more classic you can style it with black jeans are a little more edgy style with a faux leather pant. I love this winter white combo with my favorite Amazon sunglasses and statement jewelry to add a bit of edge.
Combine Textures

When you are styling the same color tones it’s important to mix textures. I love styling white jeans with a cream lace top and even layering a suede jacket over it for a chic street style look. It makes the outfit more interesting with mixing textures. Textures do not look over done with you keep it in the same color story.
Here I styled a boyfriend jean with rips in it with the lace bodysuit. I added a cream suede jacket and my favorite Amazon Pouch!

One of my favorite knit sweaters to date and I styled it with my cream coat from Mango and a pair of fashion sneakers. I layered my everyday statement jewelry to complete the look.

Here is used the example of mixing white color tones. This outfit I tend to travel or lounge around it at home in because its chic and comfortable especially if I need to make an errand run.
I love the this cream crop sweater also paired with white denim. It’s one of my favorites that I’ve worn on repeat.
Dressy Outfits

If you looking to go more dressy, a slip skirt and cream sweater is the perfect option in winter styling. It makes for such an elegant outfit. I accessorized with some a camel purse with gold hardware that gave it dressier feel in the winter months. Pair it with a pump or a boot.

Another option for cold weather is style a white sweater dress with over the knee boots. I love these python ones for a little edge. Also, Adding a belt and statement jewelry can make the outfit more flattering. If you need extra warmth, add a camel jacket to complete the whole look.

This is a great chic workwear look to take you out to meet the girls or a date night. I love the faux leather paper bag pant. Here I styled with a black classic pump and small bag that you can throw into your bigger tote from the office to date night and my favorite Amazon sunnies.
