When you have fine, thin hair, protecting it is your priority. That’s why this week I’m sharing my best tips and tricks for finding and using the best hair tools + products for fine, thin, hair.
Best Hair Products for Thin Hair
Sharing a Few of my tips for keeping your hair looking full while keeping it healthy!
Use A Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner
In the case of fine hair, anything with volumizing benefits will suit your hair best and make the job of your mousses, texturizing sprays, and curling irons a whole lot easier. To that same point, a lot of volumizing shampoos may not have ingredients whose benefits are tied directly to adding volume; some simply cleanse the hair without adding weight. So products made with heavier nutrients, like butters and oils, should be avoided.
To that same point, conditioners that claim to have “hydrating” or “smoothing” benefits on the bottle most likely have oils in them that will keep your hair from gaining volume. If you must condition the hair every day, apply to the ends so you can still detangle. This volumizing set is included in the Nordstrom Anniversary sale!. Don’t Wash Every Day
Yes, it’s true. To get a fuller look squeaky clean hair is not the answer. I typically wash every other day due to my hair getting oily easy! If you add the dry shampoo at night before bed it makes such a difference! My favorite dry shampoo is Oribe.
Give Your Hair a Break
As much as we want the volume, it’s always important to give your hair a break. I try and treat at least once a week! Let it air dry to avoid the heat! Always my go to is Olaplex. These products are a concentrated treatment that strengthens the hair from within, reducing breakage and improving its look and feel.
Also, be careful if you are pulling your hair back to use a safe hair tie such as this one! It will not cause breakage like elastics!
Best Hair Tools for Thin Hair
Using hair tools that will not overheat your hair is key when it comes to styling your hair. Personally, I use the T3 products and have been a huge fan for years! However, one product I’m dying to try is the Dyson hair tools such as the AirWrap & the hair dyer. This one $100 off!
