I’m so excited to share my spring 2021 capsule collection! I get asked alot about creating a capsule wardrobe and today and long overdue, here it is! You all have been loving my virtual styled outfits so I will also be following up with more ways to style the Spring Capsule Wardrobe as well. I’m so happy they are so well-received and helpful. Share them to your pinterest page for future reference!
If you are new to my blog, a capsule wardrobe is “a collection of a few essential items that don’t go out of style and can then be augmented with seasonal pieces. The idea is to have around 30-40 pieces that you wear for 3 months (one season) until you transition in new pieces to wear for the next 3 months, and repeat.
In the blog post I’m covering the spring capsule and I keep in mind summer is approaching. I kept my collection curated to only the essential items, so the collection is only 29 pieces which will allow you to mix and match, wardrobe plan to give you many outfit ideas. With this capsule, you can add an accent color to tailor to your personal style to create fun and comfortable outfits throughout the season.
Spring Capsule Wardrobe
Building a Capsule Wardrobe Benefits
- Minimize and declutter your closet
- Save money in the long run [no throwing out clothes constantly to stay up with the ever-changing trends]
- Make it easy to style outfits [versatile pieces makes it easy to pair everything together!]
- Reduce the time you spend focusing on shopping, which allows you to increase the time you spend on other things!
I always like to add a reminder that everyone’s style is different so your collection doesn’t have to look like just like mine. I consider my style mix in between a classic mixed with some edge and feminine style. Stick to pieces that you truly love and fit your body type. I, for example, have decided that I really like wearing black year-round and so I’m going to keep black in my wardrobe palette for spring. You might instead opt for lighter colors, patterned pieces, or floral pieces instead black.
Even with only 29 pieces, however, you can create over 100 outfits variations!
I also left out jewelry because jewelry is so personal and different for each person [plus I found it too difficult to limit myself–because I believe in keeping it minimal for everything, except when it comes to jewelry!]. Jewelry is the key to elevating any outfit–and if you are looking for some great pieces–check out my everyday jewelry here.
Investing in quality pieces can be pricy, so don’t try to build your whole collection all at once! Do the research and find what fits you best.
I’ve linked to all my capsule pieces I own and a few similar recommendations [in case the piece I own is sold out]:
OUTERWEAR: SPRING CAPSULE WARDROBE
Trenchcoat // A trench coat is one of my favorite pieces. I’ve had my Burberry for 13 years and I still love it to this day. If you don’t want to invest there are so many at H&M, Mango and Nordstrom! I’ve linked a few of my favorite ones at all price ranges!
Denim Jacket // A denim jacket one that is my favorite. I love wearing mine with white jeans or over my dresses for a chilly night.
White Blazer // I love that the classic style is so big right now. I white blazer is perfect for the office to after work as well as a weekend brunch look.
Tan Blazer // Although I love a black blazer, I tend to gravitate toward my tan one in spring. It’s such a great capsule piece for your spring wardrobe.

BOTTOMS: SPRING CAPSULE WARDROBE
Classic Crop Jean // Although, I’m currently loving the 90s denim trend, the classic crop jean for spring is essential in building a capsule.
White Straight Leg Jean // Finding a great white denim can be hard, but once you do it’s so worth it. Here are some that I love!
Agolde Parker Denim Shorts // yes, these can be on the pricier side, but remember, you don’t need many pieces in a capsule wardrobe. Denim is the one thing I don’t mind spending a little more on because, its something I wear everyday!
Silk Skirt // A silk skirt is one item I’ve been pulling out of my closet season after season. In the fall, I style it with a chunky knit and in spring, I love styling it with a tee and lightweight jacket.
