A hoodie, also known as a hooded sweatshirt is one of my favorite essentials in my closet. Whether casual or dressy is a great piece for year round and everyone should have at least one in their closet.. I layer it under jackets during the colder months and layer on chilly summer night. It can complete any look whether preppy, sporty or casual. Today, I’m sharing what to wear with a hoodie.
What To Wear With A Hoodie
Adding a leather outerwear piece will create a downtown vibe. When out running errands it’s the perfect look for street style while out and about. It is the easiest layering piece when it comes to staying warm. A hoodie outfit is always my go to when it comes to running around town while remaining chic and on trend.
Wear a Grey Hoodie with a Black Leather Jacket
I styled this cream hooded sweatshirt with a deep burgundy leather moto jacket but could easily be worn with any color! A denim jacket can be styled with this as easily! I love this outfit because I love the double layer of long sleeves. It is a great fall outfit because layers can easily be removed while still remaining warm all day long.
It’s an easy and chic look. You feel put together without looking like you tried to hard. These casual style looks are my favorite and it’s comfortable with your favorite leather sneakers!
Grey Hoodie Outfit Idea
If you looking to dress up your cotton fitted hoodie, adding a leather blazer or Moto jacket and styling with a black boot or sneaker is the perfect way to go. For extra warmth, I styled my favorite black cotton turtleneck under this one.
Add A Layering Pieces Such As A Wool Coat for Staying Warm
Styling the hoodie with a long wool coat also for a few more options dressy and casual. Here I styled it with my favorite Chloe sneakers. Adding a baseball cap would also be a super cute accessory to create a more New York street style vibe. A baseball cap creates a sporty and edge vibe and can also hide what dry shampoo can’t.
Another style option would be to style it with your faux leather leggings and boots!
Such a classic casual outfit with the camel coat from Mango. I’ve been obsessing over long wool coats because of the numerous ways to wear them. They are such an essential fall/winter piece that can be dressed up or dressed down. I love that you can wear a matching lounge set with sneakers under or even a formal dress. When it comes to investment pieces like these I want to keep them versatile to get the maximum amount of wear.
The sweatshirt is from Cotton Citizen and it’s an investment, but I’ve been wearing mine on repeat for the last five years and less is more to me in my elevated basics collection. Keeping your capsule wardrobe small is so much easier to style!
Here are a few of my favorite golden goose picks! I typically only own the midi which I love but the low top white sneaker is on my list. While a splurge, I think they are worth the investment because its something you wear daily and they are definitely my most comfortable pair of leather sneakers.
Wear A Hooded Sweatshirt Set
The hoodie with a sweatpants might be my all time favorite currently. Chic and cozy at home or out and about. Again, easily layered with a denim jacket, leather bomber jacket or a wool coat take your stay at home mom look to the next level. And we all know, when we look put tougher, we feel good too!
Here I am cozy at home, but if out and about, I’d style with with my favorite combat boots or white sneakers! This cashmere set is by State Cashmere and it’s so cozy and luxe. If your looking for more affordable options, Amazon or Target are my go too!
Keeping it short and sweet today. I hope you enjoyed how to style a hoodie or hooded sweatshirt. I love that 2020 has brought all the elevated cozy. It’s perfect for the holidays at home or a NYE at home. Cheers to a safe and healthy holiday!
