Paris Shopping Guide 2026: The Best Places to Shop in Paris for Beauty, Luxury, and Hidden Gems
If you’re planning a trip to Paris and want to know exactly where to shop, from iconic designer boutiques to under-the-radar beauty finds, this guide is for you. I recently spent time shopping my way through the city across multiple neighborhoods, and I’m sharing everything: what’s worth it, what to skip, insider tips, and where you’ll actually save money compared to buying at home.
Whether you’re searching for the best Paris pharmacy finds, luxury designer deals, or unique souvenirs, here’s my honest, first-hand breakdown.

Is Shopping in Paris Worth It? (The Short Answer: Yes)
Paris is genuinely one of the best cities in the world to shop. Between the VAT refund available to non-EU visitors, lower prices on European luxury brands, and access to French pharmacy and beauty brands you simply can’t get at home, you can save significantly. While buying things that feel special in a way a mall purchase never does.
Here’s exactly where to go.
Chanel (St. Germain / Rue Cambon)

No Paris shopping guide is complete without Chanel, and visiting in person is a completely different experience from shopping online or at a US department store. The architecture and interior details alone are worth the trip. Look up when you walk in and you’ll find a stunning installation of the interlocking CC logo rendered in oversized silver orbs cascading from the ceiling. It’s one of the most beautiful retail spaces I’ve ever been in.
On the shopping side: Chanel is meaningfully less expensive in Paris than in the US, and as a non-EU visitor you’re also eligible for a VAT refund on top of that. I tried on a woven raffia tote with the chain strap and it was significantly less than the US retail price. If you’ve been waiting to make a Chanel purchase, do it here.
Pro Tip

Also, don’t overlook the bathrooms. Every designer store in Paris had stunning bathrooms. Think marble walls, perfect lighting, and Chanel’s is no exception. Bring your phone.
Nosé (St. Germain)

Nosé is a beautifully curated perfume and cologne boutique tucked into the St. Germain neighborhood, and it’s one of the best places in Paris to find a truly special French fragrance. The staff is knowledgeable and the selection goes well beyond the mainstream.
I picked up the Ode Ona Teapot Sonder cologne as a birthday gift and it was a total hit. It’s the kind of scent you simply wouldn’t find at home. If you love fragrance, budget extra time here.
City Pharma — The Best French Pharmacy in Paris

Location: St. Germain (6th arrondissement)
City Pharma is the Paris pharmacy you’ve seen everywhere on TikTok, and the hype is so real. But you need a strategy going in or it will completely overwhelm you. The prices on French drugstore and pharmacy brands are significantly lower than anything you’ll find imported in the US.
What to Buy at City Pharma
- Biafine emulsion (a French pharmacy cult classic for skin repair)
- Cible Skin Sérum Bleu (hydrating + antioxidant)
- Cible Skin Booster 1-LGVTY (anti-aging, pigmentation, firming)
- La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400 SPF 50+ (invisible fluid — not available in the US)
City Pharma Tip
Ask an associate to help you. A lot of what goes viral on TikTok, the staff will tell you isn’t actually worth buying, and they’ll steer you toward what genuinely works. They helped me narrow my entire haul and saved me from a cart full of things I didn’t need.
Officine Universelle Buly 1803 (St. Germain)

Best for: Unique gifts and personalized souvenirs
If you visit one “hidden gem” in Paris, make it Buly 1803. Founded in 1803 and restored to its original splendor, this apothecary-style boutique in St. Germain is like stepping into another century. Everything inside is exquisite: lotions, hair brushes, marble candles, lip balms, and an enormous selection of perfumes, most of which can be personalized.
What to Get at Buly 1803

The monogram lip balms are the most giftable thing I found in all of Paris. They come in beautifully textured leather cases (crocodile, pebbled, lizard) in every color, with gold-stamped initials. I also had hair brushes engraved with my daughters’ names and they turned out perfectly. If you’re wondering what to bring home from Paris as a souvenir that isn’t a keychain or a beret, this is your answer.
Saint Laurent (Boulevard Saint Germain)

The number to know: Saint Laurent is approximately 25% less expensive in Paris than in the US. The Boulevard Saint Germain location is beautiful, the staff is attentive, and yes, they serve champagne while you shop. Add the VAT refund and the savings are real. If you have a Saint Laurent purchase on your wishlist, Paris is the place to make it.
Hermès (Champs-Élysées)

Even if you’re not in the market to buy, walk into Hermès on the Champs-Élysées. The window displays are some of the most elaborate and artful I’ve ever seen, a full theatrical installation of color and texture that changes seasonally. Inside, the bracelets are gorgeous, and the energy of the store is unlike anywhere else. It’s one of those Paris experiences that’s genuinely free and worth every minute.
MiiN Korean Cosmetics (Montmartre)

Best for: K-beauty finds in Paris
This one surprised me. MiiN is a Korean cosmetics boutique in Montmartre with the best selection of K-beauty I’ve seen outside of Seoul. The shop is adorable, black signage covered in flowers, beautifully organized shelves, a really thoughtful edit of brands.
What to Buy at MiiN Paris
I picked up the Hyeja Vegan Rice Ferment Gentle Probiotics Cream and Bonafide Black Phyto Repair Cream, both of which I couldn’t find at home. Combine this stop with a visit to Sacré-Cœur for the panoramic view of Paris, then wander down through the Montmartre neighborhood. There are so many cute boutiques and it’s one of the most charming areas of the city to explore.
Celine (St. Germain)

The Celine boutique is worth a visit for the interior alone. The black and white marble counters and surfaces are stunning. Some of the most beautiful store design I’ve seen anywhere. The bags are displayed like sculptures. Don’t rush through.
Les Puces de Saint-Ouen — The Paris Flea Market

Location: Saint-Ouen, just outside Paris | Open: Weekends only
Les Puces de Saint-Ouen is one of the largest flea markets in the world and an absolute treasure hunt for vintage lovers. I found incredible pieces: gold chain bracelets, a chunky cream enamel link bracelet, a frosted rose brooch, and a tortoiseshell clutch. They’re the kind of one-of-a-kind finds with real history behind them. This is also a great place to find vintage Hermès dishes and tableware at a fraction of boutique prices.
Flea Market Tip
It’s only open on weekends, so plan accordingly and go early.
Paris Shopping Tips You’ll Actually Use
Get your VAT refund. As a non-EU visitor, you’re entitled to reclaim the value-added tax on purchases over a certain threshold. At luxury boutiques like Chanel and Saint Laurent, this adds up to hundreds of dollars back. Ask at the register before you leave each store.
Shop by neighborhood. St. Germain is the sweet spot for luxury boutiques, French pharmacy finds, and Buly 1803. Montmartre is great for indie boutiques and MiiN. The Champs-Élysées corridor is for flagship experiences. Planning your days around neighborhoods saves a lot of time.
Buy fragrance here. Whether it’s a niche perfume from Nosé or a well-known French brand, Paris is the best place to buy it. Prices are lower, the selection is better, and the experience of choosing a scent in Paris is just different.
Don’t skip the designer bathrooms. Every single designer store bathroom in Paris was absolutely stunning. Marble floors and walls, perfect lighting, mirror installations. Bring your phone into every single one.
