How To Store Designer Bags
As their price tags suggest, designer bags aren’t your average, ordinary bags. Luxury purses require a bit more care to ensure longevity and maintain their condition and value. Here are some tips for proper storage of your designer bags:
- Completely empty your bag by removing its contents. Use a lint roller to remove dust and debris.
- Wipe down the exterior of the bag. Use a damp paper towel or alcohol-free cleaning wipe for bags made from hard-pressed, grained leather. For untreated leather or suede exteriors, wipe it with a dry paper towel.
- Stuff the bag to help it keep its shape.
- Place the bag in a soft, breathable dustbag that is large enough to cover the bag without distorting it. You can also use the original box if you still have it.
- Store your bags sitting upright or lying down. Avoid stacking bags and be sure to separate them so they’re not touching each other.
