In the last month, I’ve really been focusing more on my wellness routine and creating better habits. I recently started the book Badass Habits. It’s about cultivating the Awareness, Boundaries, and Daily Upgrades You Need to Make you habits stick. I’ve realized after the last year I really needed to focus more on my health and keeping my body well. I’ve realized wellness can be achieved by doing healthy habits no matter how small they are on a daily basis. These wellness habits can help you get through tough days and give your a extra boost on good days. Wellness can be achieved by everyone whether you are a stay at home mom, working mom, full-times working adults, etc. Today, I’m sharing my daily wellness routine in hopes you can get inspiration from.

Daily Wellness Routine
Creating a wellness routine is something I have been working hard on. Creating small daily habits make all the difference and habits will then become a healthier lifestyle. Which if you like me and a busy mom taking some time for self care is so important. These are some of the healthy habits tips I’ve been following and it relieves stress and help me feel good.

1. // Create A Successful Morning Routine
Set the Alarm | Creating a wellness routine should always start in the morning. I set the alarm clock for 6 a.m. and it’s the perfect start to the day. My goal is to move to 5 a.m. but I’m starting with the realistic mindset for back to school. One of my favorite things about having an earlier morning routine is having 30 minutes of alone time before the kids wake up. It can leave time to mediate, get your thoughts together for the day, get your daily schedule in order and overall mental health in great shape to start the day.
2. // Move Your Body
I set my workout clothes out the night before so it’s ready to go! My husband and I typically workout for 30 minutes and it feels good to have some time with him and the best for my mental health to start the day. I find that if I wake up and get it out of the way I am more likely to stay consist vs doing it in the evening. Whatever time it may be for you is fine, just try to pick the time and stay consistent which will create great healthy habits! And it always helps to have an excuse for some new workout clothes from Lululemon!
3. // Wear SPF Everyday
This is easy one to create a daily habit of when you are doing your skincare routine in the morning. Wearing SPF is the #1 thing you can do for your skin while being inexpensive. My personal favorite is this one by Supergoop.
4. // Drink a Smoothie Everyday
I’ve been doing this high fiber and protein green smoothie everyday and it tastes so good and is so simple to make giving you the naturists you need and energy for the balance of the day. All of these items are in my Amazon Wellness Shop!
- 1 Scoop of Protein Powder
- 2 TSP Powdered Peanut Butter
- 2 packets of Truvia– you can add more if you like it sweeter
- 1 TBSP White Chia Seeds
- A handful of Spinach – it makes your smoothie green but you cannot taste this!
- 1 heaping cup of ice (more or less depending on how thick you want it)
- 1 cup of water
- Blended in a Vitamix -I only use this blender for my smoothies because it makes your protein smoothies creamy, smooth and taste so much better!
5. // Get a Good Nights Rest
Set the alarm to get a good nights rest! If you can get at least 8 hours on consistent sleep every night it will make such a difference in having a productive day and feeling well rested. One tip I use before bed is writing down my list of to do’s so I go to bed with a clear mind and with all ready knowing my agenda when I wake up and ready to tackle the day.
6. // Aim for fasting 12-14 hours each night
Fasting at night will help maintain a healthy food and sugar intake. It may seem difficult to do this but it will start to become so natural going from 7 p.m. – 10 a.m. I’m typically busy in the morning with the kids so once I get them settled I make my breakfast or smoothie for the day.
7. // Take a daily Vitamin & Probiotic Everyday
This is something I’ve recently started in the last two months and I can tell a huge difference. I love this probiotic and this love wellness bye bye bloat has helped with my digestion as well. As for a Daily Vitamin, I currently love Daily Ritual.
8. // Drink Lots of Water
Drinking more water has helped me so much. It gives me more energy and I’m not grabbing for more mid-afternoon snacks as I used too. I recently invested I’m some great Simple Modern water bottles and it helps my water intake so much!
9. // Fast Before Working Out
Studies suggest fasting before working out helps increase hormone health and well as testorone to help free fatty acids. I usually wake up, drink a big glass of water then workout on an empty stomach. I make myself a warm lemon water to help detoxify then have one coffee (which is ok when fasting).
10. // Meal Prep
When you can meal prep it helps so much to be more cautious of what you are putting in your body. Like anything else it does take planning and carving out time but in the end you have less of a mess to clean up during the week especially if you cooking your chicken in bulk ahead of time. It also allow for less temptation of ordering fast food or something unhealthy if are starving.
I hope this post helped you because it’s helped me so much in getting in a better day to day lifestyle routine. Do you have any tips for me? I’d love to hear!
