My Must Have Summer Shoes

Now that summer has officially arrived, I thought now was the perfect time to take you through my most worn shoes for the summer, including ones that I continue to style all year long. This shoe guide includes summer footwear perfect for just about any look or occasion, including casual outfits, summer vacation outfits, date night outfits, summer wedding guest outfits and more.

All of these shoes I personally own. I typically invest in quality over quantity to make sure each pair lasts me many years. This way I don’t feel like I need to add a new summer shoe collection every year, and instead I can just fill in my shoe voids when the time is right. For example, I might add a pair or two if I’m into that summer’s shoe trends or if I come across a shoe that I simply resist!

Summer Capsule Wardrobe Shoes

Sharing some of my favorite, must have shoes for summer.

Black Sandals

A classic black sandal is a must in your shoe collection. They go with everything! You can style them with summer whites, or wear them to complement your black and white outfits. A black flat sandal also works perfectly with casual workwear as well as summer dresses and laidback vacation outfits.

White Sneakers

If your instagram feed looks anything like mine, you see your fair share of smart casual outfits. This laidback, effortlessly chic style trend seems to be sticking around, with white sneakers at the forefront. Whether you’re styling a summer maxi dress or linen trousers, a white sneaker is a must in your summer capsule. It’s classic yet comfortable for travel days, casual date nights and athleisure looks.

Black Heels

Black heels are not only perfect for summer but for the rest of the year as well. A quality black heel is one item worth the splurge. My personal favorite is from Stuart Weitzman. It’s comfortable yet minimal and pairs perfectly with your LBD for a chic summer or holiday outfit.

Woven Flats

When it comes to summer, adding a closed-toe woven summer flat is great way to complement your work and business casual outfits. Pair it with a woven tote to add texture to any stylish summer outfit.

Woven Slides

One of my most worn summer shoes is the Christian Dior sandal. Like any good accessory, it will instantly elevate any classic outfit. This woven slide is perfect with black and white outfits and minimal vacation looks.

Brown Sandals

Brown sandals are a summer essential, whether they are flat or heeled. It’s a great way to add a bit of color to your outfits without sacrificing your neutral, minimal style.

White Heeled Sandals

A white heeled sandal is a great option to add to your summer wardrobe for many different occasions. Whether you’re wearing them for a summer wedding, date night, or beach vacations, these white heeled sandals will have you looking chic. And the best part is, they can pair perfectly with all of your summer outfits.

Rubber Pool Slides

Pool slides are a must for all of those summer pool days, beach days, and tropical vacations. These rubber slides are some of my absolute favorite. They are not only functional, but so comfortable and chic!

White Flat Sandals

White flat sandals are a spring and summer essential. Add them to literally any outfit for a comfortable, yet stylish addition to your look.
